Md. Khorshed Alam (Owner)

A man from a small village, yet dreamed of doing something new in his life – Md. Khorshed Alam faced so many hurdles to become one of the most accomplished businessman of Cumilla, Bangladesh. Born on the 03^rd of April 164, he had to start earning for his family when he was only 15 years old. Though he didn’t receive formal education and a proper childhood, but he made himself as a man with strong target, hardworking diligence, and humane compassion. At the age of 17, he moved to Dhaka and started a job under his uncle who was already battery accessories industry. He started to learn more about batteries, parts and manufacturing process. At the age of 25, in 1990, he came to Cumilla to start his own business. He started with battery accessories and taking orders from customers to make new batteries.

The childhood hardship and the struggle in his young years only made Mr. Alam a strong individual, a faithful human being, and a leader full of compassion and humanity. Whoever, in his lifetime, came in touch with Mr. Alam, fondly remembers him as a man of tremendous humility, dignity, and trustworthiness. His passion for continuously improving himself and his dedication to please his customers – are still prevalent in today’s Bandhu Battery’s culture – shaping the business’s present and its future. Today’s Bandhu Battery is a dream that Mr. Khorshed Alam turned into reality. The business growth, the social commitment, and the great diversity in today’s Bandhu Battery are the outcome of one lifetime of hard work and compassion from Mr. Alam. We, Bandhu Battery, will always be grateful to him for starting a business like this and creating employments for others.

From a 100sft space to a 2300sft showroom which is now the biggest battery, IPS and solar display showroom in all over Bangladesh, it took 35 years to come to this point. Bandhu Battery is the first Hamko authorized dealer in Cumilla. Later on Valovo, Navana and some other brands came to Cumilla through us. Right now we are working with HiTHIUM, DJDC, EcoGen, Sako, GrowWatt, HInvert, Hamko and Rahimafrooz. Even, Bandhu Battery first introduced lithium battery and hybrid solar solution in Cumilla.

Over the years Bandhu Battery increased its branches in different locations like; Police Line, Shahrasti, Poduar Bazar Bishwaroad, Jhawtola and Kandirpar. Once upon a time we only focused on retail customers. But now we are focusing on corporate customers too. We are using our vast experience to manage our corporate customers. We have strengthened our market leadership in Cumilla while reaching out to other districts through online marketplaces like; Daraz, Facebook, Youtube and so on.
